Black Fatherhood for Parents.com
In this photo project, I sought to explore the complexities of Black fatherhood, emphasizing that fatherhood is not a singular experience. Through portraits of fathers from different generations, stages in their journey, and cultural backgrounds, I captured the unique perspectives and ideologies that define their role. Each interview revealed personal stories that, when brought together, challenge the monolithic narrative and paint a diverse, multifaceted picture of Black fatherhood—one that is rich in emotion, growth, and the shared experience of raising the next generation.
